Northern California’s Premier Lacrosse Experience Since 1990
The Tomahawks Youth Lacrosse Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and one of the oldest youth lacrosse programs in Northern California. Founded in 1990, we’ve spent over three decades helping young athletes grow both on and off the field through the game we love.
We’re more than just a spring league — we’re a year-round lacrosse community.
Through a wide range of opportunities including:
Spring League Play (1st–8th grade, boys & girls)
Fall Ball & Summer Ball
Skills Clinics & Instructional Camps
Travel Team Access through Team NorCal
We support players of all skill levels, from beginners learning the fundamentals to experienced athletes looking to compete at the highest levels. Our programming extends to both youth and high school players, with dedicated teams for boys and girls.
Our club draws players from across the South Bay and Mid-Peninsula, including:
Palo Alto
Los Altos
Mountain View
Sunnyvale
…and surrounding communities. Many of our players go on to become key contributors at top high school programs across the region.
Lacrosse is more than a sport — it's a journey. Inspired by the Native American roots of the game, we believe lacrosse offers powerful opportunities to develop young people mentally, physically, and emotionally.
We teach our players to:
Honor the game through respect, sportsmanship, and effort.
Embrace teamwork, humility, and accountability.
Grow as athletes and individuals, regardless of skill or experience.
We don’t believe in the “professionalization” of youth sports. Kids should play multiple sports, have fun, and feel supported — whether they’re chasing a college dream or simply discovering the joy of the game.
We field boys and girls teams in the following divisions:
14U
12U
10U
8U
Teams compete in games, jamborees, and tournaments against similarly aged and skilled teams from across Northern California. Depending on registration numbers, we may field multiple teams per division.
Skill levels are divided into:
A Level (Advanced/Competitive)
B Veteran (Experienced)
B Rookie (Developmental)
Each team typically plays 12–14 games during the regular season (March–May).
At Tomahawks, we’re proud of our legacy and even more excited about our future. Whether your child is picking up a stick for the first time or training for elite-level play, they’ll find a place here — to grow, to compete, and to thrive.
Developing Character. Building Skill. Growing the Game.
